Last year you might recall that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ were spotted at the FCC. Those were the international variants, and now it appears that the US variants of the handset have since arrived at the FCC as well, sporting the model numbers SM-G960U (Galaxy S9) and SM-G965U (Galaxy S9+).

In terms of the filing, not much was revealed save for the LTE bands that the phones will be using, which basically confirms that these handsets are indeed bound for the US market. Other than that if you were hoping that the FCC filing would reveal things like specs, you will be disappointed.

However we have heard the rumors and that is the phones will most likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 for some markets, and it is also expected to be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 chipset in other markets. We also recently caught a glimpse at the alleged retail box of the Galaxy S9, which revealed its RAM, display size, and also the bundled AKG-tuned headphones.

In any case Samsung themselves have confirmed that the Galaxy S9 and S9+ are expected to debut in February around MWC, so check back with us then for the official details.
