Carpool Karaoke debuted as a segment on The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS a few years ago. It was spun off from there and acquired by Apple. The company has since released the first season of its semi-original and it has now been confirmed that Apple has renewed Carpool Karaoke for a second season. This has been confirmed by CBS which continues to host The Late Late Show with James Corden.

No further details have been provided about the next Carpool Karaoke season by the network so it’s unclear which stars will be appearing in the next episodes and when shooting is slated to begin. It’s also unclear when the new season is going to premiere.

Carpool Karaoke initially had The Late Late Show host James Corden behind the wheel with a popular singer. The duo drove around and sang along to songs. Apple switched up the premise by pairing two or more celebrities together but the basic idea remained the same: singing along to a variety of songs. The first season had appearances from the likes of Metallica, Will Smith, and even Maisie Willams from Game of Thrones.

While the first season of Carpool Karaoke was exclusive to Apple Music subscribers, the company is yet to confirm if the second season will be exclusive to Apple Music as well or will it be accessible to anyone with a compatible Apple device.
