Electronic Arts’ studio Criterion Games has announced today that it’s going to launch Burnout Paradise Remastered for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next month. The title will invite players to “wreak havoc and unleash automotive anarchy once more,” many of us certainly have fond memories of the title from years gone by so it will surely be entertaining to take it for a spin yet again, with some improvements this time around.

Burnout Paradise is an open-world arcade racer that provides players with the trill of racing with their friends in a manner that’s both immersive and seamless. The remastered version promises the same level of speed and destruction with spectacular crashes and amazing stunts.

Burnout Paradise Remastered includes the original title and the eight add-on game packs that were released during the Year of Paradise. This also includes the extension to the drivable world with Big Surf Island.

Some technical improvements have also been made for an enhanced visual experience. This includes high-resolution textures for players to explore Paradise City in 4K at 60fps on the Playstation 4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Criterion has confirmed today that Burnout Paradise Remastered for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be released on March 16th. It’s going to cost $39.99 on consoles and will be released on Origin for PC later this year. EA Access subscribers will be able to play the title starting on March 6th as part of the Play First Trial.
