The Forza Racing Championship 2018 has been officially announced today by Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios. Players will compete against each other in Forza Motorsport 7 to win prizes worth more than $250,000 combined. Those who are interested in this virtual racing championship can head over to the ForzaRC.com website and register starting today. They will then be able to compete in the first ranked season of this global competition which starts April 2nd.

Turn 10 Studios is kicking things off with the ForzaRC 2018 Pre-Season Invitational on March 24th in Seattle. Some of the best drivers and teams in the world will compete and set the stage for a season of thrilling races. Microsoft says that more details about participating racers, tracks, cars, and more will be revealed in March.

The regular season will begin after the Pre-Seasonal Invitational and will be split into two series – each will consist of seven weeks of ranked events which will end in a live playoff event with a prize pool of $75,000.

The top 24 drivers at the end of the two series will then be invited to compete in the Forza Racing World Championship 2018 to try their best and win $100,000 in prizes as well as a title. Those who just want to tune into the proceedings can head over to the championship’s website and catch the free live stream.
