The iPhone SE 2 is a bit of an enigma at this point in time. We have heard that the phone could launch in May/June, but another report claims that Apple might not launch the phone at all. However a new report is claiming that they will, and that if and when the iPhone SE 2 is announced, it will be at WWDC 2018.

This is according to Chinese website QQ (via Cult of Mac) in which they claim that the phone will be announced in the middle of the year. The website is also claiming that they know what specs the phone will be packing, which will be an A10 chipset, 2GB of RAM, and will be offered in 32GB or 128GB storage options.

It is also rumored to feature a larger 4.2-inch display and will retain features like Touch ID and its physical home button, so don’t expect it to come equipped with Face ID. There is no mention of wireless charging, but earlier reports did claim that the phone might sport a glass back to help facilitate with this.

Obviously this should be taken with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll probably have to wait until WWDC 2018 to find out for sure. The event is expected to take place in the middle of the year as it has always been that way, and recent speculation has suggested that it might take place between the 4-8 of June.
