If you enjoyed Netflix’s take on Marvel’s The Punisher, you might have heard that the series has been confirmed to be returning in the future for a second season. At the moment it is anyone’s guess as to what the second season could be about, although the way the first season ended did hint at it.

That being said, we know that the second season is expected to see the introduction of new characters to the series. This is according to a report from Deadline in which they confirm that Josh Stewart, Floriana Lima, and Giorgia Whigham will be joining the show in its second season.

Stewart will be cast as John Pilgrim, while Lima will play Krista Dumont who is a psychotherapist for military veterans, and Whigham will be playing as Amy Bendix, a street-smart grifter with a mysterious past. The additions were confirmed by executive producer Jeph Loeb who said, “Josh, Floriana and Giorgia are all remarkable talents and we can’t wait for the audience to see what we have in store for them in the second season of Marvel’s The Punisher.”

There is no word on when the second season of The Punisher will air, but we doubt it will be anytime soon considering that there are other Marvel TV series whose second season has yet to be launched, such as Marvel’s Jessica Jones whose second season will be released next month.
