When it comes to launching new products or product refreshes, Apple sometimes makes announcements in the early part of the year, usually in the first quarter around March, but could that be happening this year? According to a report from DigiTimes (via Cult of Mac), that seems to be a possibility.

Based on the report, it seems that Apple could be getting ready to announce a new iPhone, iPad, and/or MacBook this coming March. Starting with the iPhone, we have heard rumors that Apple could be working on an iPhone SE 2, although some have disputed this rumor, claiming that Apple might have used up its developmental resources.

As for the iPad, the cheap 9.7-inch was launched in March last year so seeing it being refreshed with newer specs or perhaps new storage options wouldn’t be entirely out of the question. Regarding new MacBooks, Apple introduced some refreshes back in June last year during WWDC 2017, meaning that an announcement in March would be rather early.

However given that the rumors are claiming that this year’s MacBooks aren’t expected to see any major upgrades, an early launch could be possible. We have also heard rumors that Apple might have a 13-inch Retina MacBook in the works that could ultimately replace the MacBook Air. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now and we’ll continue to keep our eyes peeled for any possible announcements/launches in March.
