It hasn’t been that long since OnePlus launched a new smartphone and if the word on the street is to be believed, the company might be working on another new handset that it might announce in the coming months. It’s said to be a successor to the OnePlus X and might aptly be called the OnePlus X2.

The OnePlus X was launched back in 2015 when the company was very much the new kid on the block. The company never released a successor to the original model but it’s now claimed that a successor to the OnePlus X is in development.

A new report suggests that OnePlus is working on rebooting the OnePlus X series and it might do so with the OnePlus X2 which is said to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB RAM and up to 64GB of storage. It may also feature a 5.5 inch display with a 16 megapixel front and 8 megapixel rear camera, a 3,000mAh battery, Face Unlock, and Dash Charge.

OnePlus is yet to confirm if it has any plans of introducing a new OnePlus X handset any time soon. It’s unclear when this handset might be launched but the report suggests that it will only come out after the OnePlus 6 is released later this year.
