Bandai Namco today announced that its legendary video game characters Pac-Man and Sonic will be featured in each other’s games on mobile for a limited time. This is the first time that both characters will unite. Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man will join Sonic Dash while the famous hedgehog will speed into Pac-Man on iOS and Android. This is being done to celebrate the five-year anniversary of Sonic Dash.
To celebrate the anniversary, the two mobile games will feature each visitor as playable characters. There will also be all-new unlockable content available during this limited time event which runs from February 20th through March 20th in Sonic Dash and Pac-Man.
Dr. Eggman, Sonic’s longtime nemesis, isn’t too happy about being left out of the fifth year anniversary party for Sonic Dash so he conspires with BASH the Ghost for revenge against Sonic. Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man enter the game to help their friend, everyone’s favorite hedgehog, to make sure that Dr. Eggman does him no harm.
Sonic’s nemesis also ends up kidnapping his animal friends so the world’s fastest hedgehog enters Pac-Man’s mazes to help save them. Players will also be able to access six unique stages and free Sonic tournaments. Those who unlock the content during this limited time event will be able to keep it forever.
Pac-Man and Sonic Dash have both been updated and players can now access this limited time event in the apps on Android and iOS.
