Last year the folks at Capcom launched Street Fighter IV Champion Edition for iOS devices, leaving many to wonder if and when the game will find its way onto Android. The good news is that it looks like Android gamers won’t have to wait any longer because Street Fighter IV Champion Edition is now available on Android.

The game is free which is the same as its iOS counterpart and is already available for download via the Google Play Store. However playing it free means being restricted to one mode and one character, which we guess acts as a trial. Players can unlock the full game by paying a one-time fee of $4.99.

According to Capcom, “Take control of 32 world warriors and test your mettle against players from around the world. Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition perfects the winning gameplay formula by offering the most exciting fighting game on mobile. Long time Street Fighter fans can jump into the action and have an instant familiarity with the controls. For more casual players Street Fighter IV features numerous settings and tutorials that put you on the path to victory.”

There will be single player “arcade” modes as well as multiplayer modes. There will also be varying levels of difficulty for gamers who like to shake things up. In the meantime if you’d like to check out what the game has to offer, you can watch the game’s trailer in the video above.
