We’ve been hearing for a couple of months now that Apple will soon launch updated models of its tablet. It’s about time that the company launched new iPads so it’s certainly not going to be surprising when it finally does that. It appears that the launch may not be that far off as Apple’s international regulatory filings have revealed at least two new iPad models.

The filing has been made with the Eurasian Economic Commission which oversees Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. It was made to obtain permission from the regulatory body to sell the two new iPads in the aforementioned countries.

The model numbers mentioned in the filing are “A1893” and “A1954” which don’t correspond to any of the iPads that are currently available for purchase. It has even obtained permission to bring multiple iPhone and iPad samples into the region but it’s not immediately clear which devices are involved in this.

The upcoming iPad refresh is expected to be a major one with notable design changes and a whole host of new features. Some reports have even suggested that Apple could bring its Face ID unlock technology to the iPads as well.

Apple is yet to say anything about new iPads but if previous reports are anything to go by, we should expect the company to launch its new tablets by next month.
