Last year a home security camera called the WyzeCam was launched and while such devices are a dime a dozen, what set it apart from the competition, such as the Nest Cam, is its price where it was priced at an insanely affordable price tag of $20. The good news is that if you liked what you saw, the folks behind the WyzeCam are back with version 2.0.

The best part of the WyzeCam’s successor is that the company is still maintaining its $20 price tag, which is actually a great deal because you’re getting an upgraded camera for the same price. These upgrades include an improved CMOS sensor that should help with better quality images.

There have also been improvements made to the sound quality, thanks to the use of a more powerful amplifier and audio chipset that will be able to resist interference better. It is also “smarter” as it will be able to highlight people and objects moving in front of the camera, thus allowing users to better distinguish between them and identify what they’re seeing.

If this sounds like something you wouldn’t mind getting your hands on, then head on over to the WyzeCam website and place your order. Note that the website lists it as $30 normally and that for now it seems to be discounted to $20. We’re not sure how long this deal will last for, but if you want to take advantage of it you probably shouldn’t wait too long.
