According to a recent leak, it seems that the next Battlefield title that will be released will be called “Battlefield V”. The game is expected to take place during World War 2, but now thanks to a report from VentureBeat, additional details about the game have been revealed regarding its campaign and co-op mode.

Starting with co-op, this is actually a rather big deal if it is true because the rumors are now saying that we could be looking at co-op campaigns. As it stands, co-op is restricted to Conquest missions, but DICE is said to be expanding on that and introducing co-op campaigns, so if you’re not looking for competitive play, then this could be a way to enjoy the game with friends in a non-competitive setting.

The game is also rumored to feature an episodic structure similar to that of Battlefield 1. This dispels some of the rumors floating about that suggests that the game might be focused on the German side of the war. However this new rumor is claiming that players will be able to take control of different characters around the world as the story unfolds.

Last but not least, there is also a rumor that says that Battlefield V will allow players to go prone on their backs. It’s not a huge feature, but it’s small improvements like this that will help improve the game’s overall experience. Either way take it with a grain of salt, but hopefully we’ll learn more about the game in the coming months, possibly at E3 2018.
