While recent rumors are suggesting that the HTC U12+ might be HTC’s only flagship smartphone for 2018, it doesn’t mean that HTC won’t crank out low or mid-rangers as well. In fact we might have an idea of what the HTC U12 Life could look like, thanks to a recent tweet by Evan Blass.

According to Blass, it seems that the HTC U12 Life might be adopting the notch design. This notch design was popularized by Apple’s iPhone X in which in the case of Apple, the notch was used to house the components for the TrueDepth camera system which facilitates Face ID. Some have criticized the design of the iPhone X, saying that it is very un-Apple like of them to include the notch. Other reviews claim that the notch barely becomes noticeable after a while.

Regardless of whether you like it or not, more phone manufacturers seem to be hopping on that bandwagon, with the HTC U12 Life possibly being the next. At the moment is unclear as to what the phone could look like, although it seems that last month HTC might have given the public a sneak peek when they tried to disguise their phones at an event.

In any case we’ll have to wait and see when HTC does get around to announcing it, so we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more details which will hopefully be coming in the near future.
