BlackBerry fans in the United States can now pick up the updated variant of the company’s KEYOne handset in the United States. The unlocked BlackBerry KEYOne Black Edition is now available for purchase in the U.S. This model was first rolled out in a handful of other markets across the globe last year.

As some of you might be aware, BlackBerry is no longer making its own smartphones. The company has licensed its brand to China-based TCL which is the company that’s actually making these devices.

Nevertheless, they’re unmistakably BlackBerry handsets in more ways than one, be it their build quality or the iconic QWERTY keyboard that made BlackBerry handsets the darlings of the early 2000s.

The BlackBerry KEYOne Black Edition was first released in September last year. Not only does it bring a new all-black color profile, it also bumps up the RAM from 3GB to 4GB and the onboard storage from 32GB to 64GB.

After being rolled out in markets across the Middle East and Europe, the BlackBerry KEYOne Black Edition is now available for purchase in the United States from Amazon and Best Buy.

It was expected that this unlocked handset could cost as much as $700 if and when it was released in the U.S. but that couldn’t be further from the truth. It costs $549.99 and is now available for purchase from the aforementioned retailers.
