According to a recent rumor, it has been suggested that LG’s next flagship smartphone will be known as the LG G7 and that it is also expected to bear the ThinQ branding. It turns out the rumors were right on the money because LG Korea has since announced and confirmed that their next phone will be the LG G7 ThinQ.

Unfortunately apart from only confirming the name of the handset, LG did not go into any details about it, such as specs, features, or design. This means that all we know for now is what the handset will be called, although we guess also given that the phone has the ThinQ branding that it will feature LG’s own digital assistant.

There have been rumors claiming that LG might include a hardware button on the LG G7 similar to that of what Samsung did for Bixby, where at a press of a button it will launch the digital assistant. However like we said, LG hasn’t really confirmed much save for the name so this is just speculation for now.

However we won’t have to wait too long to find out the details because LG has confirmed that the handset’s announcement will be taking place on the 2nd of May in New York and the 3rd of May in Seoul, South Korea.
