The other day we reported that Mario Kart had been turned into a board game of sorts when a Monopoly version of the game was launched. However it looks like it isn’t the only video game that is being given the board game treatment because it looks like Capcom’s Street Fighter franchise has been made into a board game as well.

Dubbed Street Fighter: The Miniatures, this allows players to enjoy Street Fighter in a way they have never experienced before. The best part is that it looks like the board game will come with several miniature Street Fighter characters, which means that for those who love to collect these kinds of toys, this might be one way to go about it.

We’re not sure how well an arcade fighting game like Street Fighter will fare in a board game setting, but if you’re interested in finding out, the game has been launched on Kickstarter. With a little under a month left to go before the campaign ends, it seems that the game has managed to raise over $700,000 which is almost double their original goal of $400,000.

There are also plans to bundle additional content should they meet their stretch goals, which we reckon with 26 days to go there shouldn’t be any problems.
