More Samsung handsets are gradually receiving their Oreo updates in the United States. Merely a day after AT&T started rolling it out, T-Mobile has also released Android 8.0 Oreo for the Galaxy S8 Active. The carrier has already released said update for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ on its network and so have the other three major carriers in the United States.

T-Mobile has updated the device’s support page on its website to reflect that it’s now rolling out software version G892USQU1BRC4 for the Galaxy S8 Active. The update comes in at over 1GB which isn’t surprising given that it’s a major Android platform update.

It brings all of the features that are part and parcel of Android 8.0 Oreo such as autofill, notification dots, picture-in-picture mode, and more. Some user interface tweaks are included in this release as well.

Aside from bringing Oreo, the latest software update for the Galaxy S8 Active on T-Mobile also brings bug fixes and software stability improvements according to the official changelog.

Those who own the Galaxy S8 Active on T-Mobile should keep an eye out for an update notification today if they haven’t already received one. It should arrive soon as the rollout has already begun.
