While Valve has several titles that they have developed themselves, the company has also been going about buying titles from other developers and making it their own. The latest that will be added to Valve’s portfolio will be none other than the indie hit Firewatch developed by Campo Santo.

In a blog post by the developer, they have announced that Valve will be acquiring them. According to the developer, “In Valve we found a group of folks who, to their core, feel the same way about the work that they do (this, you may be surprised to learn, doesn’t happen every day). In us, they found a group with unique experience and valuable, diverse perspectives. It quickly became an obvious match.”

As for existing titles such as Firewatch, Campo Santo will continue to develop and support it, especially now that the game has also been announced that it will be launching on the Nintendo Switch. The developer also states that In the Valley of Gods will continue to be developed with the only difference being that it will now be a “Valve” game.

Other than that it doesn’t sound like too much will change and that Campo Santo will keep doing what they’re doing, just that they’ll now be flying under a different banner.
