Acer first announced its Predator X27 G-Sync monitor last year and finally started taking pre-orders for it about a week ago. Now, ASUS has thrown its hat in the ring as well by confirming that its 4K HDR 144Hz G-Sync monitor will begin shipping next month. It has been a long wait for those who were interested in picking up this monitor when it was first announced. ASUS actually demonstrated the ROG Swift PG27UQ monitor back in January last year.

The company launched it in January as the industry’s first 4K HDR gaming display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It’s based on AU Optronics’ AHVA panel with 3840×2160 and the company claims that it’s the first monitor with DisplayHDR 1000 certification.

The monitor also features NVIDIA’s G-Sync HDR variable refresh rate technology which allows for smoother gameplay. All of this is packed behind a 27 inch IPS panel in a sleek body.

As you can probably imagine, this monitor doesn’t come cheap. It’s priced similar to the Acer Predator X27 that’s now available for pre-order for $1,999. ASUS has also decided to price its 4K HDR 144Hz G-Sync monitor at $1,999.

The company says that the ROG Swift PG27UQ will be available for purchase in late June. Those who have been waiting for it can finally start counting down the days until they can pick one up.
