Even though it has been over six months since Google first released Android 8.0 Oreo, the latest iteration of Android is still gradually making its way to more compatible devices. Those who own an ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom should now keep an eye out for an update notification because the Android 8.0 Oreo update is finally being rolled out for this device. Two other hands in the ZenFone 3 lineup have already received their Android 8.0 Oreo update.

ASUS started rolling out Oreo for the lower-end iteration of the ZenFone 3 Deluxe a couple of months ago while the premium model of the same handset got the update only a few days back. It’s the ZenFone 3 Zoom’s turn now as it’s finally getting a taste of Oreo.

Those who own the device should keep in mind, though, that the user interface won’t change much even after the device is updated to Android 8.0. That’s because the latest custom skin from ASUS, called ZenUI 4.0, is already out and the ZenFone 3 Zoom was actually the first handset in this entire lineup to be updated to ZenUI 4.0.

ASUS has now started rolling out the ZenFone 3 Zoom Oreo update in phases so it’s going to take a couple of days for the update to go live for all users.
