Google Assistant can help you do a lot of things, and now it seems that it can do one more thing which is to help users buy tickets. This is made possible through a partnership with Fandango, according to a report from The Verge where through voice commands, users will be able to ask Google Assistant to help them purchase tickets for movies.

This will work on all devices that have Google Assistant running on it, which means that it works on your phone, tablets, and also Google Home devices. However as noted by Variety, if you use Google Home to make a purchase request, the process will actually be sent over to your smartphone once you’ve picked a movie and a showtime, so that’s something to take note of if you are planning on doing that.

No doubt that this is a rather useful feature to have, plus users will also be able to check for showtimes at cinemas near them using voice commands, so you could just be sitting at home and check showtimes and purchase tickets using just your voice instead of fiddling with your phone. The feature should already be live so if you are planning on catching a movie in the near future, then this is something you’ll want to take note of.
