A little over a week ago, Nintendo announced that they would be launching a demo for Mario Tennis Aces. The good news is that if you were looking forward to the game, it appears that the demo for the game is now available for download from the Nintendo eShop in the North American region.

However before you get too excited, it should be noted that while you can download the demo, you can’t play it yet. As per Nintendo’s previous announcement, the demo is only playable from the 1st to the 3rd of June which is the next weekend. What this means is that you’re essentially preloading the game onto your Switch in anticipation of next week.

If you’d rather not waste any time given how short the demo is, then this would be a good way to start. The demo will take up about 393MB of storage so if you’re running low on onboard storage, maybe it’s time to consider a microSD card. Mario Tennis Aces is currently set for a release on the 22nd of June and at its core it is a tennis game featuring Mario characters.

Considering how much fun gamers had with Tennis in Wii Sports, it was a bit disappointing that there was no equivalent available on the Switch at launch. However this looks like it could be a good alternative as it takes tennis to the next level with powerups and well-known characters.
