If you thought that cartoons such as The Simpsons was getting a bit long in the tooth, you’ll be pleased to learn that the series’ creator Matt Groening has a new cartoon series that will be launching soon. Dubbed “Disenchantment”, it has been confirmed that the new series will launch on Netflix come 17th of August.
In case this is the first time you’re hearing about Disenchantment, this will be an adult animated comedy fantasy series. It will be set in the kingdom of Dreamland and follows the adventures (or misadventures) of a hard-drinking princess who goes by the name of Bean.
It will also feature her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her own personal demon Luci, where along the way they will encounter all manner of magical beings and humans too. The initial run will be for 10 episodes, but given that Netflix ordered 20, we expect the remaining 10 to be released shortly after.
In terms of who has been cast, there will be voice acting provided by Abbi Jacobson as Bean, Nat Faxon as Elfo, and Eric Andre as Luci. It will also include John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding, and Lucy Montgomery.
