HP today unveiled its new Omen 15 gaming laptop which will compete in the market against similar products from the likes of Razer, Gigabyte, ASUS, and others. HP’s Omen 15 has been a popular model and the latest iteration of this device is not only more refined than its predecessor, it’s also more powerful.

The laptop is housed in a case that’s much slimmer than its predecessor while the display bezels have noticeably shrunk as well. The design of the new HP Omen 15 is quite similar to its predecessor as it has the same black and red plastic case detailed with angular lines. However, HP does say that this iteration is 7.4 percent less wide and just under five percent thinner than its predecessor.

The 15.6 inch display has bezels that are 65 percent smaller around the sides and 35 percent at the top. Configuration options for the HP Omen 15 include 8th Generation Intel processors with up to GTX 1070 Max-Q graphics. Display options include 1080p and 4K at 60Hz and 1080p at 144Hz with some configurations featuring NVIDIA’s G-SYNC technology.

Prices for the new HP Omen 15 gaming laptop start at $979 and go up depending on the configuration selected. It’s going to be available for purchase starting July 19th.
