A couple of months ago it was confirmed that No Man’s Sky would be headed to the Xbox One, but no specific date was provided at that time. However according to a previous leak in which the game was spotted listed on Amazon Italy, it suggested that the game could be released on the 29th of June.

However it turns out that the leak was off its mark because it has since been officially confirmed that No Man’s Sky will be arriving on the Xbox One come 24th of July, about a month later than the previously rumored date, although we suppose better late than never. This was revealed by Hello Games co-founder Sean Murray during the Inside Xbox stream.

It is also expected to launch with all of the game’s previous updates so Xbox One gamers will be able to dive into all of the available content right off the bat. In addition to announcing the release date for the Xbox One, Murray also shared additional details on the game’s upcoming “Next” update which is expected to bring an improved multiplayer experience.

The game currently does have a limited form of multiplayer, but with the update, players will be able to interact with other players better, such as grouping up with them to survive, build, race, and relax. According to Murray, “It’s the kind of game that myself and a lot of other people have always wanted to play in a multiplayer world.”
