OnePlus has been launching two devices every year for the past couple of years. It first releases the new flagship for the year which is a big improvement over its predecessor and then follows that up about six months later with a slightly upgraded version of the handset that’s branded as a “T” device, look no further than last year’s OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. It launched the OnePlus 6 officially last week and many have naturally asked if there’s going to be a OnePlus 6T launch later this year and it looks like there will be as the company has said it will stick to its schedule.

The company was asked on its official forums recently if it plans to revert the strategy to release two new devices each year to just one device per year.

“We don’t have any plans to change our strategy at this moment,” came the official reply, which suggests that the company does have the OnePlus 6T in the pipeline and that it’s going to release the device later this year.

It’s too soon to be sure, though, what improvements the OnePlus 6T might bring to the table. We should start to hear whispers about that in the coming months if OnePlus is indeed serious about launching this handset in the second half of this year.
