According to an earlier leak, it was suggested that Overwatch’s secondary anniversary event was set for the 22nd of May. This information actually came from the Overwatch Brazil Twitter page, but was subsequently removed presumably due to Blizzard not being ready to officially announce the dates yet.

However for those wondering, it looks like the dates were spot on as Blizzard has officially confirmed that the game’s second anniversary will be kicking off on the 22nd of May. The accompanying video more or less shows the same video as the previous post, so if you’ve seen that then there’s nothing new.

For those who missed it, the video does show what appears to be new skins for characters in the game. This is to be expected since Blizzard typically releases new skins to celebrate in-game events. As noted in the tweet, Blizzard will also be bringing back past brawls to the game, so gamers will want to keep an eye out for it.

In addition to the announcement of the second anniversary, Blizzard has also announced that Overwatch will be getting a free weekend event from the 25-28th of May, so if you want to experience the anniversary event, you should be able to do so during the free weekend.
