When it comes to choosing your storage medium, there are certain things that you would have to take into consideration. For example size is the most obvious, but then it starts branching off where there are some users who might require fast read/write speeds, but then there are also some users who might require their storage devices to last them years.
This is where endurance comes into play and where Samsung has announced their latest PRO Endurance microSD cards. According to Samsung, “Designed for consumers and B2B channel customers who use intensive video monitoring applications such as surveillance and security cameras, body cameras and dash cams, the PRO Endurance makes continuous video monitoring fast and stable.”
While it is clear that these microSD cards are not aimed at smartphone users or for consumer cameras, we suppose they can still be used if the endurance feature is something that you think you might need. Samsung is boasting that their new microSD cards will offer 25 times higher endurance compared to speed-focused cards, as well as a five-year warranty.
It is also water, temperature, magnetic, and x-ray-proof, with read and write speeds of up to 100 MB/s and 30 MB/s respectively. As for pricing, the PRO Endurance microSD cards will be priced starting at $89.99 for 128GB, $44.99 for 64GB and $24.99 for 32GB.
