LG V30 owners on T-Mobile now have something to look forward to this weekend as the country’s third-largest carrier has started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for this handset. It’s gradually rolling out the latest iteration of Google’s mobile platform for LG V30 units on its network. Multiple reports have already come in from users confirming that they have been able to install the update.

While the update is now available, there’s just one little problem. It’s not available over-the-air right now which means that anyone who wants the T-Mobile LG V30 Oreo update will have to download it manually through LG Bridge.

T-Mobile’s product guy Des Smith confirmed on Twitter that the carrier has approved the Oreo update for the LG V30 and the LG V30+, adding that the support documents for the update should be uploaded to T-Mobile’s website soon. He also said that the update will start rolling out over-the-air in the coming week.

Those who just can’t wait for the T-Mobile LG V30 Oreo update can go ahead and manually install it through LG Bridge. Those who don’t want to go through that hassle and are happy waiting should just wait for a couple of days as it’s only a matter of time now before the Oreo update lands on their handsets over-the-air.
