BioWare first announced its big shooter game last year and it has now confirmed when it’s going to release its answer to Bungie’s Destiny. BioWare has confirmed the Anthem release date, it’s going to be showcasing this “shared world” action RPG at the E3 2018 gaming convention. It has also released a new cinematic trailer for the title.

BioWare has now confirmed that Anthem is going to be released on February 22nd, 2019. The title is going to be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Players will be tasked with defending humanity which lives under a protected city. They will be strapped into exosuits in the game to achieve their objective of saving humanity. Anthem is an open-world shooter where players will be able to roam the world and find objectives to complete. There will also be enemy mobs and patrols aside from special events.

Many BioWare fans have been anxiously waiting for this title considering the fact that it’s BioWare’s first new IP in 10 years. Players can choose to play the game in multiplayer but the BioWare team has addressed concerns that perhaps would only be able to play co-op with other people. It has now been confirmed that Anthem players will be able to complete the entire game on their own if they so desire.
