A popular rumor of this year’s iPhones is that Apple will continue churning out LCD iPhones. It is said that there will be at least one LCD model which will come in the form of a 6.1-inch iPhone and now thanks to the folks at BGR, a render of a case for the rumored 6.1-inch iPhone model has made its way online.

Now in terms of cases and accessories, sometimes companies like to speculate and create products based on what they’ve heard. This is because if they can get to the market first, they’ll be able to capitalize on all the iPhone customers who need protection on the first day, so it’s hard to tell if this render is accurate, based on insider information, or just pure speculation.

However it does seem to be somewhat accurate in the sense that it is in line with what the rumors have been saying. The 6.1-inch iPhone is said to be a more affordable version in which it will omit the use of OLED, drop 3D Touch, and is also rumored to keep a single camera setup versus the dual camera setup found in previous iPhone models.

The renders are also suggesting that the iPhone will be maintaining its edge-to-edge display and is also dropping the Home button, meaning that this year’s iPhones could exclusively use Face ID. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but we expect that we will have more details in the next few months.
