Halo Infinite Teased At E3 2018, Coming To Xbox One & Windows 10

While there are countless video game franchises in the market today, Halo probably ranks as one of the more beloved ones in existence today. For those who have been looking forward to seeing what the Halo franchise has in store for them in the future, wonder no more as Microsoft has teased Halo Infinite at its E3 2018 conference.

Unfortunately Microsoft did not offer up too many details during the game’s official announcement, except that it will be a new story that will be centered around Master Chief and is also expected to continue the storyline after the events that unfolded with Halo 5. It has also been revealed that the game will be using the new Slipspace Engine that was created by 343 Industries (who took over development duties after Bungie).

This new engine is meant for use in future Halo titles and as you can see in the trailer above, it certainly looks impressive. According to Microsoft, “343 Industries stated that the game, art, and tech elements are still in progress and many of the assets and designs will certainly evolve between now and the release of the game; what fans should take away from the engine demo is the promise of the Slipspace Engine and its capabilities in powering ‘Halo Infinite’ and how the story will center on the Master Chief.”

No word on when the game will be launched, but judging by the announcement on Microsoft’s Xbox website, it seems that we could be in for a wait, although the good news is that unlike Halo 5, Halo Infinite will be launching for Windows 10 PCs alongside the Xbox One.
