The Diablo franchise hasn’t really been talked much about in recent times. Blizzard did try to inject it with a bit of freshness by introducing a “new” Necromancer character, but other than that the game is essentially still the same at least as far as the storyline is concerned. However could a new Diablo game be in the works?Blizzard has yet to officially announce anything, but a job listing on its website seems to have confirmed that the company is working on something. The listing calls for applicants to apply for a dungeon artist position in which according to the description, “We’re working on a new, unannounced Diablo project. Are you a skilled Dungeon Artist? Come work with us, and together we will build something exceptional.”
However given that Blizzard has been known to take a long time to develop their games to ensure quality, we wouldn’t get our hopes up at seeing this title launched anytime soon. We have heard rumors of a new Diablo game in the works in the past, with some analysts predicting that it might arrive in 2020, so like we said we probably still have some waiting to do.
There will be a BlizzCon event taking place at the end of the year so perhaps Blizzard might share some details then, so we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed!
