Philips Hue Sync App Now Available On Windows And Mac

The Philips Hue lighting system is one that is probably known by many who are looking to make their homes smarter. For those who aren’t familiar, the Hue system consists of a series of light bulbs and light strips that can be remotely controlled via a smartphone app. This allows users to change color, set a schedule, adjust the mood, and so on.

Now it looks like users on Windows or Mac computers can do the same as Philips has since released the Hue Sync app onto bot Windows and Mac. Philips had initially announced their plans to do so at CES earlier this year, and now it looks like it has finally arrived. The app will also do more than allow users to adjust their Hue light settings.

It will work in sync with their games and movies which means that it will light up and change color/intensity according to what’s on the screen. If this sounds familiar, it is because we’ve seen Philips do something similar with Microsoft’s Xbox platform, and it is also similar to Razer’s Chroma system.

Of course all of this will require users to own the Philips Hue system so if you already do, then you can download the Hue Sync app and take it for a spin.
