There are plenty of great microSD card options available online but you won’t find many with 512GB of storage. This is why PNY Technologies is claiming to have launched the “highest capacity micro SD card in the world” at Computex 2018, the PNY Elite 512GB. However, it’s pertinent to mention here that Integral Memory launched its 512GB microSD card earlier this year but it’s not available in the United States just yet.

Fully compliant with Class 10 and U1 standards, the PNY Elite 512GB has a minimum sequential write speed of 10MB/s with the company claiming that it can provide up to 90MB/s of peak speeds. That’s 10MB/s over and above the peak that Integral Memory’s 512GB card can reach.

PNY says that the card provides enough storage to save over 80 hours of Full HD video content or more than 100,000 photos at 18 megapixel size, and up to 100,000 songs. There aren’t that many smartphones out there that can support 512GB microSD cards so it’s a much better option for other gadgets such as drones, action cameras, and DSLRs.

PNY Technologies has priced the PNY Elite 512GB at $349.99. It’s yet to confirm, though, when this memory card is going to be available for purchase in the United States.
