Samsung is gearing up to launch its second flagship smartphone of the year. It was reported a couple of weeks back that the Galaxy Note 9 could be announced on August 9th. Samsung has now confirmed that it’s going to officially announce its next flagship smartphone on August 9th. The company has sent out invites to the press for the special event today.

We’ve received an invite from Samsung for its Galaxy Note 9 event which will take place in New York City on August 9th. The teaser makes it evident that this event is for the new phablet.

Samsung hasn’t dropped any other hints about the device at this point in time. Rumors suggest that the handset is going to come with camera improvements and a bigger battery. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor that the company is already using for the Galaxy S9.

Samsung is also going to introduce Bixby 2.0 with the Galaxy Note 9. The company will confirm more details about the device at the event. It will also confirm the release date for the device and how much it’s actually going to charge for the device. There will likely be more leaks and rumors about the device in the weeks leading up to its launch.
