Last month Microsoft announced the Xbox Adaptive Controller. If you have use for the controller or know someone who could benefit from it, you’ll be pleased to learn that the controller is now available for pre-order via Microsoft’s Xbox website where it is currently priced at $100 and will be available this September.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Xbox Adaptive Controller, this controller has been designed for gamers with accessibility issues. It is adaptive because gamers will be able to attach other peripherals to it, such as switches, buttons, mounts, joysticks, and so on, thus allowing gamers with disabilities to customize the control to their liking and their needs.

There will also be your usual ports that allow users to connect a pair of headphones and other devices. The controller will play nicely with not just the Xbox One consoles, but also Windows 10 PCs so if you’re a PC gamer who has a need for such a controller, not to worry as it will work on your computer as well.

The accompanying app will also allow gamers to customize their experience by managing the buttons and profiles, such as remapping them. Following the announcement of the controller, Microsoft has also since stepped forward and announced that they are looking for more ways to make the Xbox accessible to gamers of all needs.
