Microsoft today confirmed that it will be attending the gamescom convention in Cologne this August. The company will bring a great lineup of games from developers across the globe. It will host a special episode of Inside Xbox which will be broadcast live from its Xbox booth in the Koelnmesse. Also on the agenda for gamescom 2018 is “all-new Xbox hardware,” according to Microsoft.

The live broadcast will be available starting at 4:30 pm CEST on August 21st. Xbox fans can tune in for news about “all-new Xbox hardware and accessories,” upcoming titles, and more. The official blog post doesn’t say much about the new hardware that the company will seemingly be unveiling at the event.

Xbox fans probably shouldn’t keep their fingers crossed for a new Xbox One console, though, as the next generation of this gaming platform isn’t expected to arrive until 2020 at the very least. The company may also announce new Xbox One bundles at the event.

Perhaps the new hardware that the company is referring to has to do more with peripherals and controllers than it has to do with a new console. That appears to be a reasonable possibility but it will only be confirmed at gamescom itself when the live broadcast takes place.
