Owing to the demand of different markets, it’s not surprising that sometimes some companies choose to release certain products for certain markets, while leaving out others. However the good news for Nokia fans is that it looks like HMD Global has decided that the Nokia X5 will be launching worldwide.

This is according to a tweet by HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas in which he responded to a tweet by a fan who asked that the Nokia X5 be released outside of China. Based on his response, it sounds like there are plans to take the phone worldwide, but unfortunately he does not mention when that will be.

This is actually not the first time that HMD Global has conducted interest checks for its phones. A couple of months ago the company took a poll on Twitter to see if there was interest in the Nokia X6 launching worldwide, and sure enough there was, but like we said when exactly the launch will take place is anyone’s guess.

For those unfamiliar with the Nokia X5, the phone is a mid-ranger featuring the use of MediaTek’s Helio P60 chipset and will be accompanied by 3-4GB of RAM. We’re also talking about a dual camera setup on the back, an 8MP front-facing camera, a 3,060mAh battery, and will come with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
