Last year and much to the delight of many a Monster Hunter fan, Capcom announced a new installment in the franchise called Monster Hunter World. The game was announced for the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC, although the PC release would be arriving later, although Capcom did not mention when.

However the good news is that we might not have to wait much longer to learn more about its release date because Capcom has confirmed that it will be revealed on the 9th of July. This is according to a tweet by the official Monster Hunter account in which the PC release date would be confirmed, the distribution platform, and also the minimum specs required for gamers to run the game on their computers.

We’re sure that this is something many gamers have been anticipating, especially those who would much prefer to play the game on the PC versus on the console. So far the console releases have been a huge success, where the game managed to move 5 million units in three days, making it Capcom’s best-selling game of all time which is saying a lot when you consider how many popular franchises are under Capcom’s banner.

Unfortunately there are still no plans to bring Monster Hunter World onto the Nintendo Switch, although we had heard back in June that Capcom could be considering giving the Switch its own Monster Hunter title (that isn’t a port).
