They say that a picture tells a thousand words, but what if a thousand words isn’t enough? For those of you who are using Tinder and think that maybe your profile photos aren’t enough to get the attention of others, you’ll be pleased to learn that Tinder has rolled out a new feature called Loops.

Loops is essentially Tinder’s take on Instagram’s Boomerang feature, where users will get to upload a 2-second video that will keep looping as long as the user is on your profile. According to Tinder, “That’s right, you get two seconds of looping video to show more personality, which is the best way to get more right swipes. You can be flirty, you can be fun, but no matter what, be you. And be quick about it, because everyone who’s anyone will be showing off their moves. (Let’s face it; still photography is so last November.)”

Given that we’ve seen Boomerang used for pretty hilarious and cute results, if you’re trying to show off that kind of personality and image on your Tinder profile, then Loops are definitely worth checking out. Users can upload videos to their profile which will then be edited into a loop. Tinder is also expanding the number of photos that users can upload.

Tinder says that they are now testing the ability to add up to 9 photos or Loops to your profile instead of the default which is six. Loops has yet to go live for all markets and is a feature that is being tested for the iOS version of app for those living in Canada and Sweden, and presumably should find its way to other markets in the future.
