Have you ever had a question about a particular celebrity? We’re sure many of us do and one way of finding out would be to do a search on the internet. However sometimes the answers we get are second-hand information which don’t come from the person themselves, which means that it might not be as reliable as we would like.

Google is looking to fix that with the launch of an app on iOS called Cameos. This is where celebrities will be able to personally answer questions asked about themselves. According to the app’s description, “Cameos on Google lets you be the authority on you. Record video answers to the most asked questions on Google and then post them right to Google. Now, when people search for you, they’ll get answers directly from you.”

Of course not every burning question fans have will be answered as it will be up to the celebrity or public figure to choose what they want or don’t want to answer. If this sounds familiar, it is because it is essentially an extension of Google’s “Posts on Google” platform which allowed certain people or organizations to post directly on search results.

It is also slightly similar to the Questions stick that Instagram rolled out for its Stories feature last month, which allowed Instagram users to ask and answer questions on their Stories.
