Nikon has been steadily teasing the upcoming launch of its mirrorless camera, where the previous tease seemed to hint at the camera’s (possibly new) mount. Now it looks like another teaser has since been released and this one seems to tease the design of the body of the camera itself.

Now as expected of the teaser, it doesn’t actually show us everything, although admittedly its silhouette is pretty telling, but we might have an idea of what it could look like thanks to recently leaked images which reveals the body in full, along with some size comparisons against some of Sony’s and Fujifilm’s offerings.

For the most part Nikon’s body seems to be larger than Sony’s A7 series, but whether or not that is a good or bad thing is up to you to decide. This is because there might be photographers with larger hands that might prefer a bigger body, but the downside is that it makes it slightly bulkier and heavier and harder to pack.

In any case we should have all the official details in the coming weeks as Nikon has confirmed that they will be revealing it in full on the 23rd of August. It’s hard to say whether or not the hype will be real, but given that Nikon’s previously mirrorless releases haven’t been the runaway success that they’ve hoped for, we imagine that whatever’s next should be better.
