The Tomb Raider franchise is a long and storied one, and thanks to the various movies that have been released so far, the franchise has its own lore and backstory going on. However if you are looking for more lore and content that’s Tomb Raider-related, perhaps there is a new book worth picking up.

Thanks to a listing spotted on Amazon, it looks like Square Enix’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider is expected to get its own tie-in novel. The listing marks it as an official tie-in novel to the game and is written by S.D. Perry who based on her author page on Amazon, has written other tie-in novels for other games such as Resident Evil, along with TV shows and movies such as Star Trek and Aliens.

According to the synopsis of the book, “In a brand-new adventure, Lara Croft must evade the agents of Trinity and discover an ancient secret. When a mysterious stranger offers to help Lara uncover a clue that could give her the upper hand, she embarks on an expedition to a system of caves in Colombia. However, once they learn of Lara’s plans, Trinity will stop at nothing to reach the location first. Trinity believes they can turn the tables on Lara, but in the darkness of the underground caverns, there are terrors in the depths that neither Lara nor Trinity anticipated.”

The listing mentions that the book will be released on the 18th of September which is several days after the game is released, but is currently available for pre-order for those who are interested.
