Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book” story is one that is pretty well-known to all, thanks largely to Disney who created a very fun and lighthearted version of the story in an animated movie back in 1967, although the story was once again revisited in 2016 with Disney’s live-action adaptation which was extremely well-received and pulled in close to $1 billion in revenue.

Now it looks like Netflix is trying their hand at adapting the story and a trailer for “Mowgli” has since been released. There were talks about a new Jungle Book movie from Warner Bros. dating back in 2012 where various directors were discussed to be part of the movie, but ultimately that role was given to Andy Serkis.

The movie pretty much follows the same story as the other movies so if you’ve seen them, chances are you more or less know what will happen. However we suppose retelling the same story with different actors and a director might not be a bad thing, especially when you consider the names that are attached.

Rohan Chand will be playing as Mowgli, while Christian Bale will voice Bagheera, Cate Blanchett who will voice Kaa, Naomie Harris as Nisha, Andy Serkis will be pulling double duty as director and also voicing as Baloo, and Benedict Cumberbatch will be voicing Shere Khan. If you have a couple of minutes to spare, then the trailer above might be worth checking out.
