Android 1.5 Announced

Developers will be able to take a sneak peek at the Android 1.5 SDK which will be based on the cupcake branch from the Android Open Source Project. What’s new in this version? Well, developers can expect APIs for features including soft keyboards, home screen widgets, live folders and speech recognition. Head on to the developer site if you want to download the early-look Android 1.5 SDK, and before getting started, make sure you read up all important information concerning upgrading your Eclipse plugin and existing projects so that you can best make use of all the improvements found in Android 1.5. Other changes include the developer tools and structure of the SDK itself.
