Google keeps a record of all the searches you made using Google search. This helps in providing a better search experience (such as personalized search, auto-fill, etc…) and an accessible list of all your searches.

It is handy, but it may also compromise your privacy, because if your friend, family member or anyone else will search from your PC or phone, they be able to see the autofill. Deleting your browser history will not help delete Google’s search history, it is separate from the browser history and can be accessed using your Google account.

In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to delete Google search history on a per-item or per-period basis. It’s also possible to simply delete the whole search history at once.

Delete Google Search History individually

To delete a specific search from Google search history, you need to type the initial letters of the search you want to delete in the search bar. You will see your complete search phrase in purple below the search bar as a suggestion.

For example, when we type “Ube” we get two previously searched terms, “Ubergizmo.com” and “Uber app”. Both of these terms were stored in Google search history, which is why Google suggested it.
