Internet radio is currently a big thing, and you are not just limited to 10-20 radio stations anymore. You can easily select thousands of radio stations from all over the world, and listen without any need for adjusting an antenna to get better audio.

Access to so many radio stations and ability to stream it with customizable options, your appetite to listen to your favorite music and shows, just doubles. However, we are not always sitting in front of our PC to stream Radio stations, but skipping on your favorite shows isn’t an option either. In such situations, recording all your favorite radio stations is a good option to listen later. Here’s how to do it.

The internet is filled with Internet radio recorders, some just record the sound coming out of your speakers and others record live radio streaming. The options are there, but finding the right tool is the catch. This is why we are here to introduce you to your one stop place for all your Radio streaming and recording needs.

In this Tutorial, we are going to show you how you can stream and record radio stations with separate recording file for each track or show.

Use RadioSure to Stream and Record Radio stations

We are going to use the tool RadioSure to stream and record radio stations. It is a simple to use tool with amazing capabilities. It comes with over 25000+ stations from all over the world, and makes it simple to find your favorite station or type. It is free to use, but also comes with a paid version. Although, for most users, the free version should be enough.

Just download the free version using one of the Mirror files and install the program (don’t worry, no shady stuff). Launch the program and you will see a simple interface with all the stations in the middle panel and few buttons below to control the streaming.

Find the Station

You will see all the stations with their name, Genre, Country and the language. These details are more than enough to look for the right station to stream. Even if you are not fan of any specific station, you can still find the right station according to your need. This gets even easier with the built-in “Search” option.

The “Search” option is what makes it so easy and fun to listen to your favorite channel. If you know the name of your favorite station, just type it in, otherwise, you can easily find station of your taste just by adding the keywords. You can enter any Genre, Language, or Country and you will get a list of radio stations available.

You can also narrow down your search by providing Genre, Language and Country simultaneously to get the exact results. For example, we can type “Rap USA English” and we will get all the stations that are located in USA, use English as main language and host Rap/Hip-hop music.

All searches will be saved, so you could see and use them later if you like. Just use the Search option to find the station which you would like to record.

Configure Settings

To configure options, click on the “options” button located at the bottom right corner of the window and you will see all the options in a new window.

You will see the categories in the left panel and the respective options in the left panel. In “General” category, you will see all basic interaction options such as, Automatic startup, Show songs titles and clear search history, etc.

In “Skins” category, you can apply new skins to the interface to make it more fun and beautiful. However, you will have to manually download the skins from the RadioSure official website. There are lots of skins and new are added frequently, you can get both free and paid skins.

In “Recording” category, you will see all the options that affect your recording process and if you like to record stations, then you should first configure these settings according to your need. Here you can select the folder where the recordings will be saved, just click on “…” (three horizontal dots) button to select the folder where all your recordings will be saved.

You can check/uncheck “Split recordings by tracks” option to make the recorder record each track separately or make a one big recording of everything on a station. You can check/uncheck  “Avoid duplicated recordings”, to stop the recorder from recording same track again and again.

There are some options that are not available in the free version, but hopefully you can live without them. When you are done playing with settings, just click on “OK” to apply them.

Record Your Favorite Station

To start recording a station, you first need to play the station which you would like to record. To play, Just select the station and click on the “Play” button located at the bottom left corner of the window. You can also double-click on the station and it will be played automatically.

Now to start recording, click on the “record” button below with a “Red circle” inside it. The program will start recording and when you are done, just click on the “Record” button again and the recording will be stopped. The recording will be automatically saved in the specified folder. There will be a separate folder for each station and if you have checked the option “Split recording by tracks”, then each track will be saved separately with proper names.

Note: The separated tracks might not be perfect, there is a chance that at the start or end, the audio of an advertisement or another song could be added. Furthermore, the free version also doesn’t excludes any advertisements and they will be recorded as well.

Record Multiple Stations Simultaneously

You can also record multiple stations at the same time and their recording will not get mixed up. However, this is not a built in feature and you will have to play a little trick to do so.

The Tool allows you to open multiple interface at the same time. This means you can also play more than one station at the same time. Just open as many interfaces you like by opening RadioSure again and again. Now, play a different station in each interface and click on record on each one of them to start recording.

This is quite handy if you have your favorite shows on multiple stations and you want record them while you are away. Or you can just listen to one of your favorite shows and record the other favorite show to listen to it later.

Conclusion

RadioSure is definitely one of the best tool for Streaming and Recording Internet Radio. It is extremely simple to use and provides a robust list of stations to access. However, if you have a bit slow internet connection, you might have trouble with some channels as they might buffer too much.

In the end, it is a good free tool and doesn’t actually puts up any strong limitations that may ruin all the fun. It is frequently updated and developer seems to work on the suggestions provided by the users.
