11/08/2011, Travelers who fly Australia’s low-cost airline Jetstar will now be able to enjoy the iPad as an inflight entertainment option. This new feature is being rolled out on the 9th of November and will be available on flights that go for longer than two hours. Travelers will be able to rent the iPad at $10, while long haul travelers will have to pay $12-$15.
11/08/2011, With Apple landing a successful injunction against Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet in Australia, this not only means that Samsung will not be able to sell the devices themselves, but that injunction will also extended to retailers and resellers as well. This did not sit well with one Australian retailer, dMavo, who claims that they are ready for a “cat and mouse game”.

10/04/2011, About a week ago, Samsung came forward and offered Apple a deal that would allow them to continue selling their Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets in Australia. Given that Christmas is only a couple of months away, obviously Samsung wanted their products to be available in time for the festive shopping season, but it looks like Apple has decided to decline their offer.

09/26/2011, Apple has certainly inflicted a few notable blows towards Samsung by getting injunctions against the South Korean conglomerate that prevents them from selling their tablets and smartphones in certain countries around the world, and even in Australia, Samsung will still need to wait until the end of the month before the judge decides on whether Apple Inc.’s patent-infringement claims have any basis to them to warrant a sales ban.
